The Congress has decided to hold one super weekend competition in Haugesund, Norway, for all three age categories. Guidelines have been discussed in April 2026 and they are under review. The NWF EB will hold a discussion with the MFs on Friday Aug. 7, 2026.

Preliminary time schedule:

Friday Nov. 20
Youth Compeition (U17)

Saturday Nov. 21
Junior Competition (U20)

Sunday Nov. 22
Senior Competition

The following text is a proposal for NWF TCRR points 3.4.2.2, 3.4.2.3 and 3.4.3.2.

At NWF Championships held in combination (all age groups during three days) each member nation can enter 12 athletes in prioritized order. A total of 60 slots is available each day. Day 1 is reserved for Youth, Day 2 for Juniors and Day 3 for Seniors.

After preliminary entries slots will be distributed according to following principles.

Distribution of slots are conducted in rounds. In the first round all teams get their first priority included. In the second round all teams get their second priority included, and so on. This method is followed until either all athletes have been included or there are no more open slots.

In each round either all teams must receive a slot for the lifters they have entered, or no slots are distributed to any team. If an MF has entered less than twelve (12) lifters at Preliminary Entry, the remaining slots can be distributed to other MFs.

Slots can be moved between genders to ensure up to sixty (60) lifters per day.

Athletes competing in multiple age groups (a youth lifter can have his/her result included in the youth, junior and senior competition) count only as one athlete. A separate fee will be attached to such entries.

At NWF Championships held traditionally (Youth and Junior age groups separately from Seniors) each member nation may enter ten (10) athletes of each age group and gender at Preliminary Entry and eight (8) at Final Entry.

In any case the maximum number of athletes in a specific weight category and age group from one nation is 2.
